Patricia worked with Night Flight Comics to supply 19 county libraries with FREE Comic Book Day Batman Strikes #1 comic books.
In turn, Night Flight worked with Bob Wayne and Vince Letterio at DC Comics for extra FCBD Batman Strikes promotional posters so all participating libraries [city and county] and the Cottonwood Mall could have posters at each location. A valiant supporter of literacy, Patricia Foster has been great to work with us to distribute Free Comic Book Day comics to all her county libraries in Utah for five years running. Thanks Patricia! |

| Saturday night, after reading two of his comics in The City Library Auditorium and autographing books for fans, Bill Willingham volunteered his time to teach Fables fans how to play Texas Hold'em. In an effort to be inclusive the game was kept low stakes with 100% of donations going to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. [CBLDF] | We had a game table for 8 set up and there were always one or two people waiting to get into the game. The chips were .25¢ | .50¢ | $1.00 to start so most anyone could buy in for $10.00 knowing 100% of their dough was going to the CBLDF. $308.00 in donations were collected between 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. | Bill did pretty good all night long. First place went to Matt McLain and second place went to Josh Perez. Winners earned a very rare variant edition of Fables courtesy of the wonderful folks at DC Comics, [Thank You Bob & Vince] and all winners earned ULTRA RARE Elemental original artwork by Bill Willingham himself. |
A big fat "Thank You" to Bill Willingham, all the librarians who helped,
An extra large "Thank You" to Bill Morrison.
JP Swain from the Cottonwood Mall,
Bob Wayne and his crew at DC Comics for providing all the extras to make
Free Comic Book Day bigger than ever in the state of Utah!
